Selecting Scanner Settings

Follow these steps to configure scanner settings for a selected profile.

Set your scanner settings so they accommodate most of the documents being scanned using the selected scan profile. Users can override a profile's scanner settings without changing the profile, then select the profile again to reload the default profile settings.

  1. Click the Scanner Settings button from the Image Source options in the Manage Scan Profiles screen. The Scanner Settings dialog box is displayed. The fields and available options depend on your selected scanner.


    Note:

    This dialog box also displays to users when they click the Scanner Settings button in the Batch Scanning screen, allowing them to adjust settings for any new images scanned into the current batch.

  2. Select scanner settings. These may vary depending on scanner, but typically include settings such as resolution, page size, dither, paper source, duplex, endorsing, and brightness and contrast control.

  3. Click the More button and select advanced options.
